Wicked snowstorm last night...lost power for an hour or so. It is surprising how quickly the house gets cold. I felt a little spoiled listening to music on my laptop and reading things I'd saved in my documents. Not quite the same feeling as sitting in the dark with candles lit all around.
Today my daughter is coming down to watch Hugo. We tried to see it at Christmas but it had left town before we could. We are highly anticipating this since we loved the book so much.
Sounds like a good day to relax! Enjoy...

ReplyDeleteAlso glad you have power. After getting an update from my parents this morning, (in Traverse City, MI)I was told they got 16 inches. After the mild winter that is quite a blow. Good luck today and enjoy the movie.
ReplyDeleteDriving home, stuck in traffic the snow annoyed me. I had planned on getting home early and having a bit of extra family time, but driving in the quiet beauty I couldn't help but be in awe. Then as I drove up the drive way I noticed the power was out, but as I walked in the family was huddled around the fireplace and we had a cozy night of reading by lantern. Things shift don't they! Enjoy the day with your daughter!
